Mrs. Evelyn May Rauch

Rauch-Mrs. Evelyn May Rauch, 65, Rt. 2, Pecatonica, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 1973, in Americana Nursing Home, Rockford, after a long illness. Born May 5, 1907, in Leaf River, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ridgeway. Lived 30 years in Pecatonica, coming here from Byron. Married to Fred Rauch in Rockford, Oct. 1, 1925. Attended Leaf River and Lightsville Schools. Survivors include; her husband, Fred, Pecatonica; three daughters, Mrs. Reinhardt (Evelyn) Jacobson, and Mrs. Virgie Lameyer, both of Rockford, Mrs. George (Darlene) Stoker, Huntington Beach, Calif., and two sons, Lawrence, Dakota and Leroy, Rt. 2, Pecatonica; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Magin, and Mrs. Lois Sweet, both of Rockford and Mrs. Ruth Palmer, Lena. Preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and three sisters.
Services at 1:30p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Kenneth L. Countryman Funeral Home, 529 Washington St., Pecatonica, with the Rev. Donald Turner, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, Rockford, officiating. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30p.m. to 9p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund in her name has been established for the American Cancer Society.
