information on the family of Henry & Mary (ABELL)
ABELL. Henry b 8Feb1777, Bennnington VT; d 30May1853,
Roscoe IL. Mary d 9Oct1845, place unknown. Children:
Almira, Franklin, Harry, Mosley, Laura, Franklin, Sidney,
and Ralph. Any info welcome.

- I am looking
for information on my Grandparents. Grandfather's name
was Alva G. CHAPMAN, Grandmother's name was Florence
PRATT. My Father was born June 24, 1918. At the time of
his birth they lived at 1114 Benton St., Rockford, Ill.
My Father's name at time of birth was Edwin Chapman. He
was adopted on June 7, 1921. I know they had at least 1
other child. At the time of the signing of the adoption
papers, My Grandfater lived at 513 Jefferson St. in
Rockford, Ill. and my Grandmother lived in Dixon, Ill.
Year of birth for both would be between 1895 and 1997.
When my Father was in his early twenties he found his
sister. There was a newpaper write-up about this and
their Father saw it and contacted them. They refused to
see him, but my Father said he was a sheriff in Wheaton,
Ill. at that time. I am interested in any info available,
and would greatly appreciate any help given.

I'm searching for information on the BLACK family, who
immigrated from Ireland to the Philadelphia, PA, area in
about 1848. They moved to Owen Township, Winnebago Co,
IL, in about 1858. I have more, but would like to share/compare

Descendants of Edwards COFFMAN who lived in Rockford in
1960-1970. He was the son of Isaac Granville and Edith
COFFMAN. He was listed in a 73rd Wedding Anniversary
article on Issac and Edith in the Bloomington, IL paper.

for any information on my great grandfather Richard BAKER.
The only info I have is that he was born about 1855-1860
Rockford Illinois. He married Margaret Kerhn and had six
children, Ross, Richard, James Arley, Earl, and two
daughters names unknown. I know this is not much to go

information on Daniel Jarvis BROWN. Born in Ogle County
then moved to Stephenson County. His parents ran the
Brown Hotel in Freeport. As an adult Daniel lived in
Rockford and I assume that is where he died. I am trying
to complete a family history. If your have any places to
